The Caped Crusader has actually finally worn his cape.
The Batman director Matt Reeves shared a behind-the-scenes cam test for the film Thursday, featuring the very first take a look at Robert Pattinson in outfit. It’s just a few seconds of (incredibly dark!) footage, but it’s our very first genuine glance of Pattinson’s Batsuit, showcasing an awesome brand-new chest emblem (are those Batarangs?) and one extremely remarkable chin.
The test video also includes a bit of composer Michael Giacchino‘s ominous, piano-driven rating. It’s dark and brooding– ideal for everyone’s favorite dark and brooding hero.
Pattinson is playing the orphan-billionaire-turned-vigilante, and Reeves has formerly teased that he’s approaching the story as a dark investigator tale. And like any great Batman experience, this film has a diverse rogues gallery, including Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and John Turturro as mobster Carmine Falcone.
